We have a new celebrity at the airport these days as Alaska Airlines has a plane sporting this eye-catching paint job. Requiring 140 gallons of paint and a team of thirty artists twenty-four days to complete, many have suggested this is the most ambitious paint scheme in the air.

The State of Alaska funded the work to the tune of a half million dollars to promote our wild salmon. The paint should last four or five years - you can see more pictures here.
